Essence SOS Nail Repair Pads: Part 3
Hello everybody!
Again, a post without pictures, sorry!
I decided to give the Essence SOS nail repair pads another try. The nail of my thumb was cracked. My thumb nail is very thick and absolutely not flexible in any way (for example, I can “fold” the nail of my pinky without any problem). So it doesn’t crack fast, but once it’s cracked it’ll break off very easily.
I wondered if the nail repair pads could handle this. Put them on, 2 coats of nailglue, and then just my regular polish.
Two days later my nail broke off. I took something out of my schoolbag, don’t really know exactly how it happened, but it slipped out of my hand and as a result my nail broke off. So the pads didn’t really help with “saving” my nail… I filled my nail down so it would look better, but I didn’t take the pad off, because I didn’t had the time to do that.
Also I found that the pads let go off the nail easily. After 5 days, it started to peel off around the cuticle area. I could rip half of the thing off without any effort. Maybe it’s because of the glue? I used the Essence SOS glue.
I don’t really like this pads as they don’t work for me. I followed the instructions so I don’t think I did something wrong. Do you have any experiences with these pads and were that better experiences? Please let me know, because I really like the idea of the pads!
Thanks for reading!

NOTD: First stamping experience

This is my first stamping experience! I was at the Kruidvat again, and I saw a Essence stamping set. I always wanted to try Konad, but was too lazy to buy it online, so I couldn't resist this set when I saw it ;)
What I used:

The stamping set, which came with an imageplate, a stamper and a scraper
China Glaze - Re-fresh mint
China Glaze - Sugar High

For a first try I think it's okay. They didn't come off perfectly, and I applied topcoat too fast so I have a little bit of smearing.. But oh well!

NOTD: Ruffian

At first I didn't want to show you this, although I did put a lot of effort in it. But I had some problems with showing you this... First my skin around my nails is looking horrible. It's getting worse again, so please don't mind that! Second, I had some bubble-issues with my topcoat. Probably put too much on... And third, it isn't perfect. Not that I can do any better than this, but still.
Hope you'll like my NOTD anyways!

Polishes I used:

China Glaze Sci-Fi and a black Essence polish.
Thanks for reading! :)
OK, so I saved this article, went on with the things I had to do, but then it hit me. I was super annoyed by the bubbles on my nails. So I thought, why not try my new glitter polish out? I used essence Julia.
Spiced up ruffian? How do you like it? :P
And yes, my middle finger is more damaged in this picture. Seriously, does anybody know how to stop this biting? Nailpolish doesn't help. Smearing with disguisting-tasting stuff also doesn't help. I want pretty nails, skin and cuticles! :(

Well, thanks for reading, again ;)

Amsterdam haul
Yesterday I went to Amsterdam and I bought some stuff!
First, what I bought at Kruidvat. Kruidvat is a Dutch drugstore.

I got 2 Catrice polishes, Blue's brother, and, of course, Sold out forever. Even if Sold out forever was an ugly colour, I still would have bought it because of the name... lol. These are my first Cartrice polishes! They came with annoying tape around it, couldn't get it off, so I just cut the tape around the bottle...
3 Essence polishes, 2 glitters: Carrie (the pink) and Julia (the silver) and just a plain black nailpolish, 'cause I needed one. Also I wanted to give to S.O.S. nail repair pads I try. I don't have a crack in my nails now, but when I do get one, I will give these a try :) Bought it together with the glue.

Also a few sponges, because I want to try out the gradient effect. I know, polish addicted and never tried gradient? I'm ashamed...
Next is the body shop!

Got the Japanese Cherry Blossom eau de toilette and shower gel. It smells amazing! But I have to admit I also bought it's Japanese cherry blossom. People who know me, know I'm a litte asian-obsessed. Just a litte... haha. But reallty, it smells sooo good!
And I also went to lush!

Got the ice blue soap. It smells really refreshing! They say it's a stimulating minty, sea salt body soap (to give you a tingle all over). I haven't used it yet, so can't say if it really gives a tingle all over!
Also the green sugar scrub. I have yet to decide if I'm going to use this as it is, or if I'm going to make a paste out if it...
This was my haul! As I was typing this my Eyeko polishes came with the mail. So you can expect a post about it soon!
Thanks for reading :)
