OPI: Skull & Glossbones

Hello everybody!

En mijn eerste swatch van de OPI - Pirates of the Caribbean collectie! Dit is Skull & Glossbones en ik draag drie laagjes. Het lakje was eigenlijk al dekkend met twee laagjes, maar ik had wat strepen, dus ik besloot om nog een laagje toe te voegen.

And my first swatch of the OPI - Pirates of the Caribbean collection! This is Skull & Glossbones and I'm wearing three coats. It was mostly opaque in two coats, but I had some streaking so I added a third coat.

Het is een heel licht grijs lakje, heel mooi! En ik besloot natuurlijk ook om Silver Shatter toe te voegen:

It's a very light grey polish, very pretty! And of course, I decided to add silver shatter on top:

Ik vind dit lakje erg mooi samen met Silver Shatter! Silver shatter is erg sparkly en knalt er echt uit tegen het licht grijze! De manier waarop hij cracked vind ik ook erg mooi, mooie grote 'gaten' :)

In my opinion, this polish looks really pretty combined with silver shatter. Silver shatter is so sparkly and really pops against the pale grey! I also like the way it cracks, nice and big gaps :)

Wat vinden jullie van dit lakje? En van Silver Shatter, yay or nay? Er zijn heel veel crackle lakjes, en er komen er nog meer... Maar ik vind deze echt leuk! Hij glinstert mooi en het geeft een mooi contrast tegen lakjes zoals Skull & Glossbones.

What do you think of this polish? And of Silver shatter, yay or nay? There are a lot of crackle polishes out there, with even more to come... But I really like this one! It's really nice and sparkly and it gives a nice contrast to polishes like Skull & Glossbones.

Nubar: Spring Garden Collection

Ja, ik heb weer wat lakjes besteld en ontvangen! Ik heb deze gekocht op eBay. Eerst wilde ik deze collectie niet kopen, maar nadat ik Laura's (van NailsbyLaura) shoplogje had gezien waar ze in voor kwamen, kon ik mij niet meer inhouden!

Yes, I ordered and received some polishes again! I bought these polishes from eBay. At first I didn't want to buy this collection, but after seeing it in Laura's (from NailsbyLaura) haul, I couldn't resist anymore!

Polish on the left is Dewdrop

Top row: Pink Lily, Earthern, Baby Sprout, Blue Hydrangea

Bottem row: White Peony, Yellow Primrose, Purple Aster, Honeysuckle

Mooie lakjes toch? :D Mooie, zachte kleurtjes. Ik vind het doosje waar de lakjes in komen ook erg leuk! Wat vinden jullie van deze collectie? Hebben jullie Nubar lakjes in jullie collectie?

Essence: Time for Reflection

Hello everybody!

Ik wilde de Essence Special effect topper: Time for Reflection eens proberen. Ik wist niet echt zeker wat voor basislak ik moest gebruiken, dus ik besloot om het te proberen met een zwart creme lakje, zoals jullie hierboven kunnen zien. Na één laagje van de topper zag het er zo uit:

I wanted to try the Essence special effect topper: Time for reflection. I wasn't sure which polish I should use as a base, so I decided to go with a black creme, as you can see above. After one layer of the topper it looked like this:

Best anders toch? ;) De topper geeft een mooie blauwe 'gloed' over de zwarte lak! Ik ben benieuwd hoe deze topper eruit ziet over andere lakjes, zoals paars of misschien rood?

Ik verwachte niet zo'n sterk effect, dus ik ben blij verrast! Hoe vinden jullie het effect?

Quite different right? ;) It gives this pretty blue sheen to the black polish! I wonder how this topper would look like with other polishes, like purple or red maybe?

I didn't expect it to have an effect as strong as this, so I'm quite pleased! How do you like the effect?

NOTD: Catrice Mona Lisa is Staring Back

First of all.. Sorry voor de kwaliteit! Ik moest mijn oude camera gebruiken, omdat de kleur helemaal niet goed overkwam met de camera die ik normaal gebruik!

First of all, excuse the quality! I had to use my old camera, the camera I usually use didn't show the colour of this polish correctly at all!

Dit is Catrice - Mona Lisa is Staring Back. Ik draag drie laagjes. Dit lakje komt uit de Ultimate Nudes collectie. Ik vond dit lakje heel erg mooi in het flesje, maar ik weet niet echt wat ik ervan vindt in combinatie met mijn huidskleur, wat vinden jullie?

This is Catrice - Mona Lisa is Staring Back. I'm wearing three coats. This polish is part of the Ultimate Nudes collection. I thought it was very pretty in the bottle, but I'm not really sure if I like this colour against my skintone. What do you think?

Ik heb ook een foto gemaakt met flits om de gouden shimmer te laten zien. De shimmer is erg subtiel en erg mooi! Het is eigenlijk de reden waarom ik dit lakje kocht :)

I also took a picture with flash to show you the golden shimmer in it. The shimmer is very subtle and very pretty! It's the reason why I got this polish in the first place! :)

NOTD: OPI Not Like the Movies

Ik nam een kijkje in mijn collectie en ik zag dat ik nog niet alle lakjes uit de OPI Katy Perry collectie had geswatched! Dus hier is het lakje wat ik nog niet had gedaan: OPI - Not like the Movies. Ik draag drie laagjes.

I went through my collection and I noticed I didn't swatch all of the OPI Katy Perry polishes! So here's the one that I didn't do yet: OPI - Not like the Movies. I'm wearing three coats.

Mooi toch? :D Omdat dit een Katy Perry lakje is, voelde ik mij een beetje verplicht om Black Shatter erover heen te doen. Ik had deze al een tijdje niet gebruikt, en kijk wat er gebeurde...

Really pretty right? :D Because this is a Katy Perry polish, I felt obliged to put Black Shatter on top. I hadn't used shatter in a while, and look what happened...

Inderdaad, er gebeurde bijna niets. Ik werd er helemaal gefrustreerd van en werd zelfs boos op het lakje. Ik ging even rondvragen op internet en iemand vertelde mij dat het kon helpen als je het lakje goed schudde. Zo gezegd, zo gedaan, en hij doet het weer! :D Dus als jouw Black Shatter het ooit niet meer goed doet... Gewoon even schudden!

Yes, almost nothing happened. I freaked out and got angry with the polish. I asked around on the internet and somebody told me I should shake the bottle really good... So I did, and it worked again! :D So if your black shatter doesn't work properly... Just shake it!

Wat vinden jullie van dit lakje? Ik vind hem echt heel mooi, ik hou van duochromes! :D Hieronder zal ik de links plaatsen naar de andere Katy Perry lakjes! Bedankt voor het kijken vandaag :)
