Color Club: Holiday Splendor

Hallo iedereen!

 

Dit is Holiday Splendor van Color Club en ik draag drie laagjes. Dit lakje komt wederom uit de Beyond the Mistletoe collectie. 

Ik vond dit lakje toch wel het minst van deze collectie. Ik vind de kleur wel mooi, maar hij glitterde minder dan de andere lakjes. Ook had dit lakje echt een groene base, terwijl de andere lakjes meer een doorzichtige base hadden.

Nog steeds een mooi lakje, gewoon minder "wow" dan de andere vier die ik in mijn bezit heb. Wat vinden jullie?

Color Club: Beyond the Mistletoe

Hallo iedereen! 

Dit is Beyond the Mistletoe van Color Club en ik draag drie laagjes. Dit lakje komt uit de Beyond the Mistletoe collection (Holiday 2011).

Glitter. Holografisch. Blauw. Vanzelfsprekend is dit dus een lakje wat mijn hart sneller doet kloppen! Ik kan echt de hele tijd naar mijn nagels kijken als ik een lakje uit deze collectie op heb. Ze glitteren gewoon zo mooi!

Color Club: Gingerbread

Hallo iedereen!

Dit is Gingerbread van Color Club en ik draag drie laagjes. Dit lakje komt uit de Beyond the Mistletoe collectie.

Zoals jullie kunnen zien, een heel mooi holografisch glitterlakje! :D Ik vind het holografische effect in de lakjes uit deze collectie echt heel erg mooi.

Downside is wel dat het een echt glitterlakje is, dus wat moeilijker om van je nagels af te halen. Maar het blijft een beauty!

Tijd voor picspam!

Bovenstaande foto's zijn allemaal gemaakt in het zonlicht. Ik vind dit lakje echt helemaal geweldig! Ik bleef maar kijken naar mijn nagels.

Het is wel een echt glitterlakje, dus echt een drama om er weer af te halen... Maar het is het zeker waard! Wat vinden jullie?

NOTD: Catherine Arley 670

En weer een Catherine Arley lakje! Dit is nummer 670 en ik draag drie laagjes.

Heb niet echt iets toe te voegen aan deze blogpost, dit lakje was het zelfde als alle andere lakjes van Catherine Arley. Maar ik vind holografische lakjes nog steeds echt heel erg leuk! :D

NOTD: Catherine Arley 674

Hello everybody!

En weer terug naar normale, saaie NOTD's ;) Dit is Catherine Arley 674 en ik draag drie laagjes.

And back to the normal, boring NOTD's ;) This is Catherine Arley 674 and I'm wearing three coats.

Een babyblauw holografisch lakje, wat wil je nog meer? ;) Mijn obsessie met blauwe lakjes is langzaam aan het afnemen, maar ik word nog steeds erg gelukkig van dit kleurtje!

A babyblue holographic polish, what more can you want? ;) My obsession with blue polishes isn't as big as it just to be, but the colour of this polish still makes me very happy!

Ik heb weer geen topcoat gebruikt dus het duurde weer vrij lang voordat de lak volledig droog was. Maar ik heb wat leuks te vertellen over dit lakje...

Ik kon geen foto's nemen voordat ik ging werken, dus ik was erg bang dat de nagellak zou chippen en beschadigen tijdens het werk, en dat ik dus geen foto's kon maken zonder mijn nagellak opnieuw aan te brengen. Maar...! Deze foto's heb ik gemaakt na het werk (ik werk bij de supermarkt, op de groenteafdeling) en ik heb de nagellak niet opnieuw aangebracht! Geen chips, geen beschadigingen.. En dat allemaal zonder topcoat! Ik gebruikte OPI Natural Nail basecoat als basecoat.

Maar ik was echt verbaasd, dus ik wilde het "grote nieuws" met jullie delen! Hahaha

Wat vinden jullie van dit kleurtje?

Again, I didn't use topcoat so the drytime wasn't really perfect. But I have something nice to tell about Catherine Arley polishes...

I couldn't take any pictures of this polish before I went to work, so I was really scared it would chip and that I would be unable to take picture before redoing my manicure. But...! These pictures are taken after work (I work at a supermarket, as a stocker btw), and I didn't redo my manicure! No chips, no nothing, and all of that.. Without topcoat! I used OPI Natural nail basecoat if you were wondering :)

But I was really in shock, so I wanted to share the big news! Hahaha

NOTD: Catherine Arley 800

Hello everybody!

Ik zag weer eens wat zonneschijn... Dus ik besloot om een holografisch lakje op te doen! Dit is nummer 800 van Catherine Arley en ik draag twee laagjes.

I saw some sunshine... So I decided to go for a holographic polish again! This is Catherine Arley number 800 and I'm wearing two coats.

Het lakje is niet super holografisch, maar ik vind het nog steeds erg mooi. Normaal gesproken draag ik niet zo graag rode lakjes, maar ik vind het opeens veel leuker met zo'n subtiel holografisch effect erin!

Zoals altijd was dit een dik lakje, met een oneven kwastje. Ik vind Catherine Arley lakjes wél erg makkelijk aanbrengen, meestal is het niet eens nodig om een clean-up te doen. Ik gebruik geen topcoat met holografische lakjes omdat het effect hierdoor minder kan worden. Misschien zouden deze lakjes sneller drogen als ik wel topcoat zou gebruiken..?

Wat vinden jullie van dit lakje? En van rode lakjes in het algemeen?

It isn't super holographic, but I still think it's pretty. Normally I don't really like to wear red nailpolish, but with the subtle holographic effect, I kinda like it!

As always, thick polish, uneven bristles. I do find Catherine Arley polishes easy to apply and most of the time I don't need to do a clean up. I don't use topcoat with holographic polishes since it can tone down the effect. Maybe these polishes would dry faster if I would use a topcoat..?

How do you like this polish? And reds in general?

NOTD: Catherine Arley 673

En weer een Catherine Arley holografisch lakje voor jullie! Dit is 673 en ik draag twee laagjes.

Another Catherine Arley Holographic polish for you! This is 673 and I'm wearing two coats.

Hoewel het holografische effect in deze lakjes niet zo sterk is zoals in de, bijvoorbeeld, China Glaze OMG collectie, vind ik deze lakjes nog steeds erg leuk!

Although the holographic effect in these polishes isn't as strong as the effect with the, for example, China Glaze OMG collection, I still like these polishes a lot!

Zoals gewoonlijk was dit lakje ook erg dik en droogde hij ook langzaam. Omdat ik nu alleen maar twee laagjes nodig had viel het nog wel mee. Ik denk dat je er gewoon aan moet wennen als je deze lakjes wil gebruiken..

As always, this polish was thick and dried slowly. Because I only needed two coats this time, it wasn't too bad. It's just something to get used to with these polishes I guess..

Mooi, maar irritant. Het is gewoon de formule van deze lakjes. Ik kan er wel mee leven, zo lang ik deze lakjes niet 's avonds op doe. Dan word je namelijk wakker met verpeste nagellak in de ochtend :p

Een korte post vandaag, maar toch bedankt voor het kijken! :)

Pretty, but annoying. It's just the formula of these polishes. I can live with it, as long as I don't put on these polishes at night, because then it'll look all messed up in the morning :P

NOTD: Catherine Arley 671

Hello everybody!

Vandaag weer een lakje van Catherine Arley! Dit is 671 en ik draag drie laagjes.

Today I have another Catherine Arley polish for you! This is 671 and I'm wearing three coats.

Bovenstaande foto's zijn gemaakt in het zonlicht. Het heeft een mooi holografisch effect, dus dat is zeker iets wat ik leuk vind aan deze lakjes!

Maar ook met deze had ik wat problemen. Deze lak was ook erg dik en het drogen wilde ook niet erg vlotten. Ik kan deze lakjes niet laten liggen of "haten", want ze zijn zo goedkoop en ook nog eens holografisch. Maar als jij iemand bent die dikkere lakjes absoluut nooit pakt, dan zal ik toch zeggen dat het beter is om deze lakjes niet te kopen.

The above are pictues taken in sunlight. It has a nice holographic effect, so I like that about these polishes!

But I also had some problems with this one, again the polish was quite thick and it dried slowly. Really slowly. I can't hate these polishes because they are so cheap and holographic, but if you're annoyed by thick, groopy polishes, I would say it's better not to buy these.

NOTD: OPI Teenage Dream

Hello everybody!

Dit is Teenage Dream van OPI en ik draag drie laagjes. Het is een licht roze glitterlakje met wat holografische glitter erin!

This is Teenage Dream by OPI and I'm wearing three coats. It's a light pink glitter polish with some holographic glitter thrown in!

In de zon. Ik vind dit lakje echt mooi. Het is roze, meisjesachtig en sparkly. Ik bleef er maar naar kijken. In eerste instantie wilde ik er geen Black Shatter overheen doen, ik was bang dat het de mooiheid van dit lakje zou verpesten. Maar ik probeerde het toch, ik was nieuwsgierig...

In the sun. I really think this is pretty. It's pink and girly and sparkly. I kept looking at it, I think it's quite flattering.. At first I didn't want to put Black Shatter over it, I was afraid it would ruin the prettyness of this polish. But I did it anyway, I was curious...

Not bad toch? Ik denk dat ik dit lakje leuker vind zonder Black Shatter, maar hij heeft het in ieder geval niet verpest. Maar ja, je moet wel van het crackle effect houden natuurlijk.

Not that bad right? I think I like this polish better on its own, but Black Shatter didn't ruin it. But then again, you have to like the crackle effect.

Teenage Dream is een lakje uit de Katy Perry collectie. OPI zou eigenlijk nog een Katy Perry collectie moeten doen, en dan een lakje maken met de naam Fireworks. Fireworks op je nagels, dat moet toch leuk zijn? :D

Wat vinden jullie van dit lakje? Mooier met of zonder Black Shatter?

Teennage Dream is a polish from the Katy Perry collection. OPI should do another Katy Perry collection, and make a polish called Fireworks. Fireworks on your nails, can you imagine? :D

NOTD: Catherine Arley 672

Hello everybody!

Mijn eerste swatch van de Catherine Arley lakjes! Dit is nummer 672 en ik draag twee laagjes.

My first swatch of the Catherine Arley polishes! This is 672 and I'm wearing two coats.

Het was voor mij niet mogelijk om foto's te maken in natuurlijk zonlicht, dus ik heb dit proberen na te maken met een felle lamp. Het holografische effect op de foto is bijna hetzelfde als in de zon!

Ik vind holografische lakjes echt geweldig dus deze is ook geen uitzondering. Dit is het eerste Catherine Arley lakje wat ik heb geprobeerd, en het lakje was best anders dan andere holografische lakjes die ik heb! Dit lakje is best dik en het duurde even voordat hij compleet droog was. Ik weet niet of dit met elk lakje van Catherine Arley is, of alleen met deze. Wanneer ik er nog meer heb geprobeerd zal ik het jullie laten weten!

Hebben jullie ervaringen met lakjes van Catherine?

I wasn't able to take pictures in the sunlight so I tried to simulate it with some bright lights. The holographic effect is almost the same as in the sun!

I love holographic polishes so this one is no exception. This was the first Catherine Arley polish I ever tried, and it was quite different in consistency than my other holographics. This polish is quite thick and it takes a while before it is completely dry. I don't know if it's the same with every polish, or just this one. I will let you know when I try another one!

A package I forgot about...

Ik kreeg een pakketje wat ik eigenlijk al een beetje vergeten was! Ik heb ongeveer een maand geleden besteld. Een week geleden ontving ik de PayPal invoice, en nu heb ik het pakketje! Zijn jullie al nieuwsgierig? :P

I received a package which I totally forgot! I ordered around a month ago, and a week ago I received the PayPal invoice. And now I have the package! Curious? :P

Ik heb veel gelezen over Catherine Arley holografische lakjes, dus ik wilde ze ook proberen! De winkel waar ik ze heb besteld had veel slechte reviews, maar ik wilde het alsnog proberen! Ook omdat de lakjes zooo goedkoop zijn! (€1.06!). Ik bestelde ze bij Beautycosmetic.biz (ik ken ook geen andere shop die ze verkoopt).

Ik denk dat ze het beleid omtrent het verzenden hebben veranderd. Ik las altijd dat ze de lakjes gewoon los verzonden zonder enige bescherming, dus geen bubblewrap, helemaal niets! Maar zoals jullie kunnen zien, zijn al mijn lakjes netjes ingepakt in bubblewrap (15 stuks) en ze zijn allemaal veilig aangekomen!

I've read about Catherine Arley Holographic polishes a lot, so I wanted to try them too. The webshop I ordered got a lot of bad reviews, but I tried it anyway, since the polishes are sooo cheap! (€1.06!!) I ordered from Beautycosmetic.biz. (I do not know another webshop which sells these polishes)

I think they changed the shipping policy. I've read that they would send out polishes without any protection, so no bubblewrap, no nothing! But as you can see, all of them are nicely wrapped in bubble wrap and all of them (fifteen polishes) arrived safely!

NOTD: Color Club Fashion Addict

Hello everybody!

En de tweede swatch van de Color Clubs! Dit is Fashion Addict en ik heb drie laagjes op. Toen ik dit lakje bestelde stond er: "non holographic colour", en ik zat van "??", omdat ik toch echt een aantal swatches van dit lakje had gezien waar het duidelijk een holo lakje was!

And my second swatch of the Color Clubs! This is Fashion Addict and I'm wearing three coats. When I ordered this it said: "non holographic colour", and I was like "??", 'cause I've seen swatches of this polish were it was clearly a holo polish!

En daar is ie dan, de holo. Niet veel, ongeveer evenveel als Revvvolution. Deze keer was ik niet zo teleurgesteld, want ik was voorbereid hahaha

And there it is, the holo. Not much, kinda like Revvvolution much, but this time I wasn't as disappointed because I was prepared for it hahaha
